If you are searching for a comprehensive teaching certificate, and you either want to have your present teaching skills and practice accredited, or you can meet the minimum requirement of 100 hours’ teaching practice during the course, then our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (CET) is the perfect qualification for you.
Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) is not a necessity for enrollment onto this course, however it is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree, therefore, we need our candidates to have excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills at least at a Level 2 standard.
You must be at least 19 years old, with knowledge, experience and enthusiasm in the subject in which you wish to teach or deliver training in the future.
Finally, for this course, you must complete a minimum of 100 hours’ paid or voluntary classroom teaching practice, of which eight hours must be assessed - via a video recording, a Zoom meeting, or with a certified observer in the classroom with you, supplied on our behalf.
Learners can choose to complete the course via one of the following options:
Classroom training over 15 days (with homework to be completed at your own pace)
Virtual learning over 15 days (with homework to be completed at your own pace)
Self-Study of approximately 360 hours, again, at your own pace.
Depending on your existing knowledge, experience, and other commitments, you could condense the self-study into weeks or months, to suit your circumstances.
