How many hours teaching do I need for the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training?
It is 100 hours teaching over the course of the 2 years.
How old do you learners need to be in the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training?
Learners must be aged 14 plus
How many learners should be in my class for the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training?
There should be at least 5 learners aged over 14
Can I simulate the training for the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training?
No. All teaching must come from a placement.
How are my eight hours observed?
You can either use your own mentor which must be trained to a minimum of the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or you setup a laptop in the corner of your room and our tutors will assess you in real time.
I have completed some prior training, can these be used towards the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training?

Does the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training allow me to teach in a school?
You could if you apply for QTLS afterwards but if you predominantly want to work in a school, this is not the best qualification to gain as it focuses on learners aged 14 plus therefore most suited to colleges and private training providers
What is QTLS?
QTLS is a professional membership which you will be eligible to apply for once you complete the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training. It is the equivalent of the QTS which is required to work in schools.
Do I need to reference my work?
The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training expects learners to carry out some independent research and then use Harvard referencing to back up your conclusions.
Will I need to purchase any books with my course?
The short answer is no. We provide everything that you need however you need to carry out some independent research to back up some answers which does not necessarily mean you need to buy additional books.
How long will the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training take?
It all depends on how much time you have available to dedicate to your studies. The average learner takes between 360 and 450 hours. This is a lot of time if you have work and children to deal with.
What support do you give?

Which awarding body do you use?
