Yes, you must be working as an EQA with an Awarding Organisation to fulfil the requirements of Unit 2.Â
No, if you already hold Unit 1 Level 4 Award in Understanding External Quality Assurance, you can jump straight into Unit 2 and apply for a £50 discount. You will need to submit evidence of your certificate upon enrolment.Â
Unit 1 is a theory based unit whereas Unit 2 requires you to complete an external quality assurance visit on behalf of an awarding organisation. You will collate evidence towards your portfolio and must be observed by a member of our team. We strongly encourage these to be carried out virtually so we can observe saving you an additional cost for a face-to-face visit.Â
Your observer must hold both units to observe you. This is possible but you must submit CVS and Certificates if your colleagues observe you to verify competence. All of our team are trained and certified to carry out these observations and will carry these out if you do not have a colleague that can assess you.Â
The principles of EQA or similar to IQA. It is highly recommended that you hold an IQA qualification to carry out quality assurance in your own organisation before you carry out external quality assurance at other companies but is not essential.
