Self-Study takes approximately 480 study hours in total to complete, however you go at your own pace.

Learners can take up to 12 months depending on lifestyle and other commitments.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will gain the Level 6 Diploma in Teaching and Learning which will entitle you to work in a variety of roles within education and/or management and enable you to continue your studies towards a relevant Degree or Masters programme with advanced standing.

To pass the award you will need to obtain 120 credits from the six modules.

The qualification is assessed through one essay and a portfolio of evidence.

You will be given feedback on your assessments, and should it not meet the minimum requirements for the qualification you will be given the opportunity to resubmit.  Whilst there are no limits on the number of resubmissions, most learners who are required to resubmit pass on their second attempt.

All learners will be offered a course induction session and have ongoing access to a tutor who can be contacted by phone, email, or within study groups.
