The Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or formerly PTLLS is an introduction to teaching and its ideal for those that are not currently in a teaching role and want to understand the basics of teaching to start a new career or to provide a side income. 

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is a quick course and you can completed and qualified in as little as a week. The main assessment criteria is to teach a 15 minute lesson to your peers to demonstrate your teaching ability

The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET) is formally known as CTLLS and is a more in-depth teaching qualification than the Level 3 Award in Education and Training and is ideal for those already teaching and are looking to gain more experience and knowledge in order to improve their teaching practice. 

The main assessment criteria is that you will deliver 30 hours of teaching so you will ideally have a placement or a place where you can meet the 30 hours. The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training takes approximately 3-6 months and will enhance your CV and allow you to teach at higher levels.

The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET) is formerly known as DTLLS and is perfect for those that want to teach in Colleges and Universities without having to go into University yourself to gain your teaching qualification. 

The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training is the most advanced teaching course that we offer and takes between 9 months and 2 years. The major requirement is that you will need to conduct 100 hours of teaching but this can also be paid or unpaid. The teaching environment can include the workplace or sports clubs so not necessarily teaching in a classroom. 

The best thing about completing the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training is that you can apply directly for QTLS which is the equivalent to secondary school teachers but without the added fuss of going to University.
